The Brief
High-intensity production with heavy-hitting results.
When the team at Obé Fitness requested a commercial with a sub-three-week deadline, we locked in and got to work immediately. With no time for traditional scouting or lengthy prep, we leaned into the brand’s existing infrastructure. By filming at their facility, we utilized the “knowns” of the iconic Obé “Box” to maintain instant brand recognition while strategically elevating the cinematography beyond a typical class. Our goal was to create a high-energy, engaging film that drew the viewer in and showcased the instructor’s magnetic personality. By bypassing production bloat and maximizing the resources at hand, we delivered a polished, premium commercial on an impossible timeline.

With a window of less than three weeks to prep, shoot, and deliver six final edits, we tapped our most trusted crew to ensure seamless communication. To maximize impact in just 15 seconds, we brought on director Dara, whose expertise in talent direction provided the precise line deliveries and pacing needed to drive a tight edit. The primary technical challenge was the “Box” set’s LED walls; while visually iconic, they can negatively affect skin tones and cause camera flicker. Our team dialed in camera settings to eliminate flicker while utilizing a specialized lighting scheme with opposing colors to ensure our talent looked perfect against the vibrant background. In a single 10-hour day, we captured every necessary asset and wrapped the production on schedule, moving immediately into a high-speed post-production phase to hit our delivery window.

In The Edit
Sprinting Through the Edit
With production wrapped, we pivoted immediately into an accelerated post-production phase. Because obé’s signature “Box” and brand colors are so iconic, color grading was our top priority. To streamline the process, our editors worked in tandem with our colorists to develop perfected static frames for early client approval, effectively eliminating the standard back-and-forth and shaving days off the schedule. This integrated workflow allowed us to move from initial concept to delivery in just 30 days—landing the final campaign in the Bloomingdale’s storefront windows just in time for the holiday shopping rush.
