JR286
Nike Trail Digital Promo

The Brief

Off-Road and On-Brand

When Nike affiliate JR286 needed to boost awareness for an upcoming trail running vest, they required more than just standard product photography. They needed digital in-store promos that would stop customers in their tracks. We pitched a “Real-World” concept: moving the vest out of the studio and into the elements where it was designed to live.

By showcasing the product in a rugged, authentic trail environment, we allowed the customer to see its technical functions in action. This approach shifted the messaging from a simple sales pitch to a credible, high-performance narrative. Seeing the vest breathe, move, and perform on an actual runner provided the authenticity needed to resonate with the Nike Trail community and drive in-store engagement.

Final Results

To bring authenticity to Nike’s trail running vest, we pitched a location within NYC that defies the “urban jungle” stereotype, offering a rugged look that perfectly mirrored the product’s intent. The challenge was strict: we had only one day to capture everything. To maximize this window, we pre-visualized every shot and created a conceptual mock-up for early client feedback, ensuring zero time was wasted on set. This meticulous planning allowed us to streamline our movement through the park and minimize travel time between setups. Despite the difficult terrain, our efficiency even allowed for improvised shots on the fly, resulting in a high-performance campaign delivered exactly on schedule.

In The Edit

Fast track From Pre-Viz to Final Delivery

Post-production was uniquely efficient; because our pre-visualization had already been client-approved, we used it as a blueprint to drop in the final shots immediately. The primary technical hurdle was maintaining a cohesive exposure across the edit. Shooting in a dense, wooded environment meant the sun was constantly shifting, creating varied lighting conditions throughout the day. However, because our pre-planning allowed us to move so quickly, we were never caught “chasing the light.” We finished with time to spare, ensuring every shot felt like it belonged in the same high-end Nike ecosystem.
